One of the challenges of modern dating is figuring out what we really want. Is it love? Marriage? Companionship? Sex? Everyone has different priorities, and when we disguise them, we create a maelstrom of mixed signals and wasted effort.

At the same time, if we dig in our heels and declare exactly what we think we want, we also risk missing out on other fulfilling interactions. Most of the time, it doesn’t matter what your relationship status is, because at the end of the day we’re all dealing with the same emotions, anxieties, and human needs.
