It’s a holiday invented by greeting card companies to sell us stuff. It puts extra pressure on us to define our “situationships” (that word sucks too, let's be honest). And, perhaps worst of all, it makes us feel guilty for not being in someone else’s idea of a healthy relationship.

But does that mean we shouldn’t have a holiday that’s about love? What if we replaced Valentine’s Day with something better?

Join us at the next edition of Dystopian Dating for our first ever “Matchmaker Movie Night”, where our guests will be given an opportunity to advertise their most dateable friends to our film community. Because even though we don’t need corporations telling us who and how to love, meeting people these days is kinda hard. And we could all use a little support from our friends.

We'll also be screening Frances Ha, a film that perfectly sums up the difficulties of finding both love and a good apartment these days...something Berliners can definitely relate to.
