Dystopian Dating feat. Force Majeure

feat. Force Majeure

Listen, we all have a “type”. And for many people, that type begins with a gender. Gay, straight, cis, trans, and everywhere along the gender and sexuality spectrums, we like what we like, and that’s what we like. But does what we like actually align with who we are? And what gender-based expectations do you have of your romantic partner(s)? Do you want classic woman or man, even though you’re more “modern”? Or do you want someone who shatters all the stereotypes?
Join us at the next Dystopian Dating event, and put your “type” to the test as we dig into the topics of masculinity, femininity, and how gender norms play into modern dating and relationship.

Topics like toxic masculinity, the male ego, and gender norms are rightfully being discussed more often. At the next Dystopian Dating event, we’ll explore how these topics impact our dating lives.
On Friday the 24th, we’ll get the conversation going at 7:30pm with an interactive activity related to your “type”, setting the stage for a 9pm screening of Ruben Östlund’s brutally honest and awkwardly hilarious film Force Majeure. Following the movie, guests are invited to hang around to blow off some steam, unpack the evening’s events, and connect with the growing ReSee Movies community.
To warm up our frosty, winter-inspired film event, we’ll also feature a special themed cocktail from our sponsor, Goldfisch. The master mixologists will be in the house to keep both the good times and the fine spirits flowing throughout the evening.
